BluChaos is seeking a talented Product Design Engineer I, New Associate to join our Product & Design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career designer with less than 1 year of UI/UX design experience to launch your design career. You’ll work alongside experienced designers, learning industry best practices while contributing to real-world projects. Description

  • Assist in designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications under mentorship
  • Learn and apply industry-standard design tools and methodologies with guidance from senior designers
  • Develop wireframes, visual designs, and user flows with feedback and support
  • Participate in user research activities and learn usability testing methodologies
  • Support the maintenance and documentation of design systems and style guides
  • Collaborate with developers to understand implementation and learn best practices for design handoff
  • Create wireframes and user flows to communicate design ideas
  • Stay current with design trends and best practices through learning and professional development
  • Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions to develop critical design thinking
  • Work with mentors to define requirements and design user experiences
  • Learn and apply user-centered design principles with focus on mobile-first and responsive design
  • Contribute ideas to team processes and standards under guidance
  • Present design concepts to team members and incorporate feedback into iterations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Less than 1 year of UI/UX design experience or recent graduate with design portfolio
  • Proficiency in Figma or Penpot (required) for design and prototyping
  • Basic proficiency in Storybook.JS for building, testing, and documenting UI components and pages in isolation
  • Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript concepts
  • Portfolio with 2-3 design samples demonstrating UI/UX design fundamentals
  • Strong foundational understanding of user-centered design principles
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship experience in design or related field
  • Familiarity with design systems and component-based design
  • Basic knowledge of responsive design principles
  • Participation in design competitions or design community activities
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a mentorship environment
