Description
- Assist with full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance under supervision
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with guidance from senior team members
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial documentation in compliance with IFRS/PFRS standards
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration using established systems
- Support tax compliance activities and regulatory filing preparation
- Help maintain and reconcile bank accounts and financial accounts with oversight
- Process vendor payments and support cash flow management activities
- Utilize Excel and QuickBooks Online to maintain accurate financial records
- Support administrative functions including contract management and office operations
- Collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and learn financial processes
- Document accounting procedures and assist in establishing internal controls
- Participate in audit preparation and support external auditor interactions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduate or within 1 year of graduation)
- Less than 1 year of relevant accounting experience or strong academic background in accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level) and willingness to learn QuickBooks Online
- Basic understanding of IFRS/PFRS principles and financial reporting
- Knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts and practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow established procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship experience in accounting or finance
- Familiarity with accounting software platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with ability to ask clarifying questions
- Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and grow
