BluChaos is seeking a talented Product Design Engineer Intern to join our Product & Design team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a student to gain practical skills in creating intuitive, user-centered web and mobile interfaces. You’ll work alongside experienced designers, contributing to real product initiatives while learning industry-standard design tools, processes, and best practices in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Description

  • Collaborate with senior designers to create user-centered designs for web and mobile applications
  • Participate in user research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard design tools
  • Contribute to design system development and maintenance
  • Assist in conducting competitive analysis and design audits
  • Participate in design critiques and incorporate feedback to improve designs
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure design implementation quality
  • Support the creation of user flows, journey maps, and information architecture
  • Help maintain design documentation and specifications
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices
  • Contribute to team brainstorming sessions and design workshops

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a Bachelor’s degree program in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 486 hours of On-the-Job Training (OJT) required
  • Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design work and design thinking process
  • Basic understanding of user-centered design principles
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, or Penpot (required)
  • Strong visual design skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and receptiveness to feedback
  • Basic understanding of web and mobile interface patterns
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge with prototyping tools and techniques
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS fundamentals
  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Knowledge with user research methodologies
  • Understanding of interaction design principles
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
  • Participation in design competitions, hackathons, or personal projects
