Description
- Develop and maintain web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies under guidance from senior engineers
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to implement user-focused features and functionality
- Participate in code reviews to learn from experienced developers and contribute to code quality improvements
- Support database design, implementation, and optimization activities for application data storage needs
- Assist in API development and integration to connect frontend applications with backend services
- Participate in testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure software quality
- Learn and apply version control best practices using Git for collaborative development workflows
- Support deployment processes and learn DevOps fundamentals for application lifecycle management
- Participate in agile development processes including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the engineering team
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends through continuous learning and development
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic software issues with guidance from senior team members
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field
- Strong academic performance with demonstrated programming skills in at least one modern programming language
- Proficient knowledge of web development technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Proficient understanding of database concepts and SQL fundamentals
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies through coursework or internships
- Experience with version control systems (Git preferred) and collaborative development practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or project experience with full-stack web development using modern frameworks and libraries: ReactJS
- Exposure to cloud platforms and understanding of basic DevOps concepts
- Experience with testing frameworks and test-driven development practices
- Contributions to open-source projects or personal programming projects demonstrating initiative and technical skills
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation concepts
- Basic understanding of software security principles and best practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
