BluChaos is seeking a talented Product Design Engineer Intern to join our Product & Design team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a student to gain practical skills in creating intuitive, user-centered web and mobile interfaces. Description
- Collaborate with senior designers to create user-centered designs for web and mobile applications
- Participate in user research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard design tools
- Contribute to design system development and maintenance
- Assist in conducting competitive analysis and design audits
- Participate in design critiques and incorporate feedback to improve designs
- Work closely with engineers to ensure design implementation quality
- Support the creation of user flows, journey maps, and information architecture
- Help maintain design documentation and specifications
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices
- Contribute to team brainstorming sessions and design workshops
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a Bachelor’s degree program in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 486 hours of On-the-Job Training (OJT) required
- Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design work and design thinking process
- Basic understanding of user-centered design principles
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, or Penpot (required)
- Strong visual design skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Eagerness to learn and receptiveness to feedback
- Basic understanding of web and mobile interface patterns
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge with prototyping tools and techniques
- Understanding of HTML/CSS fundamentals
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Knowledge with user research methodologies
- Understanding of interaction design principles
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
- Participation in design competitions, hackathons, or personal projects
